P-U-L-S-E World Tour 2024 (Division Bell 30th Anniversary)
Brit Floyd celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of The Division Bell. Well, it was a show with Floyd music anyway. By doing several numbers from PF's arguably least popular album (maybe Endless River is right there too) which is already low energy and adding other slow tunes like WYWH and Us & Them, it was kind of a snoozer. Other than guitarist Edo Scordo, there didn't seem to be much energy on the stage either. Astronomy was workmen-like followed by 5 out of the next 6 songs from Divison Bell/Momentary Lapse dragging on, not a good setlist. People were so sleepy, there wasn't even the usual group of people going back and forth to the bar all night. Sorrow and Dogs helped but the rest of the night was pretty rote. You have the feeling that they could do this in their sleep. Harry Waters, Roger's son, played most of the second set at the Hammond organ. Cooper Carter played on CN and Another Brick (?) and played a pretty good solo on CN. The stage dog being credited was a little pooch that wondered around the stage during Dogs. Watched the light guy mess up twice causing the stage to go completely black right when the song was starting up, he caught it both times in a second or two but it was noticeable. Credit the musicians to keep on and not miss a beat. There's a little distance to the vocals/guitars which is strange as I taped this right behind the soundboard pretty much in the middle of the venue between the mixing and light consoles. Should have been better being close to the sweet spot so I am going to blame it on the BF sound guy.
