Notes:
I'll let the lunacy of this night speak for itself. The playing itself is totally overshadowed by what follows "Neon Knights."
After Butler is struck with a flying bottle, Dio chastises the crowd and closes by saying "Tough shit." I have seen Dio live and
have heard live recordings of him with Rainbow, Sabbath, and as a solo performer, and I have never heard him curse, so he must
have been quite angry about Butler's injury. After Sabbath departs, a member of the band's crew or management comes on and invokes the spectre
of the American Revolution. Bad idea. After he leaves and Sabbath does not appear, all hell breaks lose. The taper told a friend of mine
that among other acts of vandalism (listen and you can hear audience members pulling apart metal railings and breaking windows) that people on the
floor stacked all of the wooden folding chairs into a pile. Some high IQ rioter then tried to ignite the chairs with a lighter. The taper believes that
if this guy had succeeded people would have died. As the tape rolls, the sounds of police and ambulance sirens are audible, and the taper attempts to
talk to some of the rioters. The last track captures someone stating the obvious: "It's a riot." Yes it was.
While other versions of this show circulate this version is low gen, contains a pre-show FM interview with Dio and a TV report from three days later complete with comments from members of Sabbath and fans from Milwaukee.
